Karma is one of today’s innovative apps that fights against food waste. Yesterday they have announced 30 restaurants, cafes or bakeries, and food stores that saved the most food through Karma. In 2018, they have been able to save over 170 tons of food within Sweden.

Top Food Rescuer for Cafes and Bakeries: Bröd & Salt
Bröd & Salt in Birkagatan in Stockholm was able to save 7 000 food products within 2018.

Top Food Rescuer for Food Stores: ICA Kvantum
ICA Kvantum at Liljeholmen has saved 10 000 food items from being disposed they are also the first store to have the Karma Refrigerator. An initiative launched by Karma and Electrolux.

Top Food Rescuer for Restaurants: Kleins Kitchen
Kleins Kitchen is a restaurant in Stockholm who has rescued 9 300 food boxes from being thrown out. They have been in partnership with Karma since 2017.
“Our food waste decreases, the customer receives good food for a lower penny and together we reduce our climate footprint on our planet. Sustainability issues are important to us at Klein´s. Karma is part of our sustainability work. ”- Jesper Holmkvist, Accountant at Kleins Kitchen.
