Here are some of the things that you can learn from Sime 2018.
Watch out for AI
One of the central topics discussed in Sime was artificial intelligence. In the AI Summit, speakers discussed how AI can change the way people would work and how the labor force can look like when AI is applied.
Max Tegmark shared how AI is something to look forward to instead of worrying about it. He encourages attendees to learn more about AI and to start thinking about how it could be beneficial.
He shares that people should start thinking about AI proactively and to learn how it works so it will be easier to adapt in positive and beneficial projects. With these in mind, he believes that humanity can build an AI that empowers us instead of overpowering us.
Danica Kragic, professor of computer science at KTH gave attendees a better perspective about robotics and AI. While Matt McMullen, founder and CEO Realbotix gave attendees a demonstration on how robotics and AI can possibly become a person’s companion.
Marketing can create social change

She has also emphasized that marketers are in a very powerful position in shaping society. “As storytellers, we can be the truth serum,” says Allison. She believes that brands should showcase the values they believe in and that the content marketers produce should reflect what they would want society to be.
Rest is also important
