The birth of Stockholm Tech Fest lies less than 5 years ago, yet today it already is Scandinavia’s largest annual start-up event. This year, there will be more than 5000 passionate participants at Stockholm Tech Fest 2017! There are also many volunteers from neighboring countries, students and working adults alike.
An inaugural event, Stockholm Tech Fest consists of many different segments blossoming, albeit some all at one time. From pitches to presentations to performances, it does not hurt to have a rough idea what to look out for this tech fest.
Thus, today in Swedish App Scene, we present you 3 Swedish applications to keep an eye on at Stockholm Tech Fest!
Launched in January last year, Gastronaut aims to bridge international chefs and local communities together. This magical act will be done without the expense of opening their own restaurants. How does this work? Simply put, global citizens who are keen on bringing their culture to the dining table can open an ‘online kitchen’ on Gastronaut. This listing of interesting food services
How does this work? Simply put, global citizens who are keen on bringing their culture to the dining table can open an ‘online kitchen’. This listing of interesting food services empower chefs to freelance, providing them an additional income whilst at the same time enriching the cultural scene in Sweden.
In connecting people who love to cook with people who love to eat, this app paves the way to the never-before-seen, underground scene of international food here!
This Swedish application sheds light on the future of the sale of real estate. Nestidy serves to provide technical knowledge to the average joe/jolyn who wants to sell a house. First, you get to list your estate and access your valuation for free. The statistics will then be available for you to evaluate on its activity and insights.
If you intend to go ahead with a sale, there will be a team to assist in your marketing campaign. With a fixed rate of 1%, this platform amalgamates across the right mix of traditional, digital and social channels for you. Perhaps the next Airbnb, anyone?
3. Ari Farm
I’m not sure about you, but this is the most exciting application for me! Perhaps it was because I did something similar as a kid – I bought 12 baby chicks and donated them to a family in Zimbabwe. In Ari Farm, it follows a similar concept, but better.
“If you buy a goat it will be your goat all the way, and all the kids it gets will be yours. Then you get an opportunity to sell the kids via the app to other customers, or on the existing livestock market in Somalia. This is not only a fun and fun thing, but it can also be a profitable investment for the buyer,” Founder Mohamed Jimale said.
Thus, it is not a pure donation basis, but rather an investment opportunity. You get to help others boost their economy in Africa while at the same time manage some growing (live) stocks. This is a great idea!
