Starcounter – Stockholm
It is a startup that develops an in-memory database engine and application server for high technology. They enable developers to create apps that are able to automatically integrate data and user interfaces with each other.
Noomi – Stockholm
Noomi uses AI technology for elderly care. They develop health care systems that monitor the elder person’s behavioral patterns and analyzes the gathered data. Which helps caregivers to act proactively.
Strossle – Stockholm
Strossle recommendation engine for publishers and advertisers. They were able to build a platform that recommends content for readers at the bottom of an article based on their AI algorithms. Which makes the user experience more personalized and relevant.
Watty – Stockholm
Watty is a power usage monitoring system for residential homes. They use a hardware monitor that their users can attach to their fuse box and the data is sent to the user’s mobile app. Watty has helped people save money by helping them understand how they use electricity and to spot problems in their homes before it escalates.
Univres – Stockholm
They have built precision motion tracking tools for the automotive, robotics, drone, and AR/VR industries. The company has also developed algorithms for 2D and 3D object tracking, object recognition, and visual odometry.
Furhat Robotics – Stockholm
This startup has created a robotic head that is capable of social interactions. Their robot understands 40 different languages, interchangeable face feature and it shows the proper emotions for the conversation.
Imagimob – Stockholm
Imagimob develops AI algorithms combined with IoT sensors for mobile devices. The software runs on low power processors and is autonomous which can also result in a higher level of data security.
Lytics – Malmö
Lytics is a startup in Malmö that offers big data analytics for health care. They offer different modules such as data capture, simulations defining the right medications, and setting the right dosage.
Century Analytics – Malmö
They are a startup that has developed an AI algorithm for currency trading. Century Analytics will be launching their first hedge fund by the end of the year using their algorithm.
Refind Technologies – Gothenburg
Refind has created a vision-based sorting solution for the recycling industry. They use a combination of cameras and machine learning to see if the electronic material could be recycled or to be disposed of.
Since Sweden is continuously experiencing advances in AI, they have released the National Approach for Artificial Intelligence. This document contains guidelines regarding the training of more AI professionals, the increase in research efforts in the field, and develop a legal framework that will ensure the development of sustainable AI.
