What is it: TidyApp offers on-demand cleaning service on regular basis. Think Uber but for home cleaning.
How it works: After the manual/Facebook signin, select your location via search or drop a pin on your address. Then you can start adding the specifics of your reservation: date, time, frequency (one time, weekly, biweekly and monthly), address and cleaning request. The bottom bar displays estimation of time and cost of your booking, this can be adjusted based on booking details. Your enquiry will then be sent to TidyApp’s cleaning partner. Once accepted, you will get confirmation by push noticification and email.
When the cleaning is done, payment will be made automatically by cards or Paypal within the app. Enjoy returning home to a spotlessly cleaned apartment!
Best for: Busybees looking for quick, fuss-free solution to a messy home.
Value Offering: TidyApp connects urban residents with skilled cleaners at short notice or at a recurring time, so you can save up time for other things than everyday chores. The app’s strength lies in its user friendly interface and simple booking system. While some may have doubts about letting strangers into their home, TidyApp ensures that all of their cleaning partners have been background-checked and insured.
Hype Level: The company gained media attention after acquiring Berlin-based cleaning service Helpling in November 2015 when they made the cuts in Sweden. TidyApp is owned majorly by Vidici Ventures, and expected to bring in 5 million in external capital, as reported by breakit.se.
